ROOTED

Layers of cold wax and oil paint create a foundation reminiscent of an earthy, mossy forest. Beneath the copper, red, gold, and umber, the verdant green persists with its lushness. The dense medium and palette offer presence to the moment, and a rooting into remembrance of another place and time.

 HARMONY 

The black lines of ink and the white lines of gouache are layered under and then over the melted beeswax. Their meditative rhythms are the lasting impressions and remembered sensations that have been smoothed, warmed and softened by time.
