fridays at faction

sketches, photos and postcards from factionbrewing in alameda

in 2015 my life changed: divorce, the end of a 20+ year interior design career and a new job with a global corporation.

one evening a friend took me to faction brewing, out on the old naval base in alameda. we had so much fun there - warm and friendly people and an amazing view of san francisco.

with all the changes in my life, i found myself alone quite a bit and so after work on fridays i would head over to faction and bring my little travel watercolors and sketchbook and paint the view while drinking my favorite beer (anomaly or a dark stout). it became a weekly ritual and eventually a few friends started joining me.

i now have more than 10 sketchbooks from those visits.
